hah during the hardly enduralbe wait for the next Daisuki!! Episode (as far as I know ep. 1 to 8 are subbed?) ... I'd like to see another Dorama...
A bit 'crazy', lot of fun and interesting characters would be nice! ;_;
Something like Akihabara@Deep, Nodame, Nobuta, Hana Kimi, My Boss My Hero or Yukan Club.
I recently watched Dance Drill; that one I liked too (since I love dancing <3)

Not sure what you mean by "crazy". Maybe Kisarazu Cat's Eye?
I had a lot of fun while watching Ohsama no resutoran, but perhaps it doesn't fit the "crazy" tag...

I have only watched 3 episodes but a lot of people say Akihabara@Deep(which I haven't seen either) is similar to it. So, yeah, definitely another series for Yola's consideration.

I just finished watching my first Japanese Drama, Densha Otoko, and I just fell in love with it. I don't normally watch these kind of shows, but upon the first episode, I was hooked. It was very inspiring and made me want to get a gf, LOL. Anyways, I'm searching for a J-drama to watch something with the vibe of densha otoko, one thats not really too serious and a lot of laughs.

Oooooo, welcome newbie. Densha was one of my firsts as well, so here's a few suggestions that can really be good as 'starters' for newcomers IMHO:
Nodame Cantabile
GTO
Nobuta wo Produce
My Boss My Hero
Odoru Daisousasen
Sorry, don't have time to put down descriptions, but look them up, they're really good!

Oh I completely forgot about long vacation and 1 litre of tears and I am sad to say I saw them both. :/
I'll zoom out a bit, is there a drama not sport related and no random medical stories or food stories.
Something romance with a little bit of crying. More on the serious angle and more realistic. (and hopefully no ikemen ehem yamapi)
I've seen (edited)
Densha Otoko (<3)
Proposal Daisakusen (<3)
My Boss My Hero
14 Sai No Haha
Hanayome to Papa
Nobuta Wo Produce (THIS WAS A TRAP! I hated it ikemen are taking ova)
Long Vacation (it was a little slow)
Liar Game
Kekkon Dekinai Otoko
Anego (i had to push myself to watch this)
1 Litre of Tears (it was tooo meh for me , dropped)
Suppli/Sapuri
Star No Koi (currently watching on episode 3 and meh)
LIFE
Tatta Hitotsu No Koi (I had to drop, it was just ugh)
Orange Days
Swing Girls (Movie)
Nodame Cantabile
Slow Dance (it was a little slow )
Honey And Clover <3
Hana Yori Dango Season 1
Hana Yori Dango Season 2
My Little Chef <3

You could try Kekkon Dekinai Otoko, Last Christmas, Brother Beat, Yasasgii Jikan, Golden Bowl.
Perhaps Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Tiger and Dragon and Kisarazu's Cats Eyes, all three a bit out of the box.

I watched At Home Dad earlier this year and really enjoyed it (I'm a father, so I could relate!) and have been watching Densha Otoko, which is great.
I'm not sure what to watch next! I tried a few episodes of Gokusen, but didn't really care for it (seemed a bit cheesy to me). Suggestions? I like funny stuff that's not too cheesy, nothing too heavy or serious.
edit: Ah, I just saw some suggestions for another Densha fan above. I'll check those out:

Nodame Cantabile

Nobuta wo Produce

Try also Kekkon Dekinai Otoko, starring Abe Hiroshi from At Home Dad. My favorite drama.

Forgive me for quoting so much, but can you tell me what drama you guys are talking about here?

I read the synopsis, review etc after the recommendation and I'm a bit skeptical. First is that, I don't quite like cop drama as I used to (maybe I watch too much CSI). Secondly, does it runs like Hero? A case to case type? It's okay if it's like Engine (because the kids and all are still there until the end) but if it's like Hero where the peoples come and go... I have to give it more thought.
I apologize if this comes off as confusing, but here it goes:
It's a cop show that is not a cop show by standards, if I say so. It's less about the crimes taking place and more about the red tape and the antics of the officers of a low-end precinct has to get the job done. The main character is someone who left the sales field to become a detective for the very reason that he THOUGHT it was going to be action-packed and excitement. His discoveries of the opposite is what makes the show unique in it's own.
The show has a core cast that sticks through from beginning to end, so when things happen (no spoilers), you will be emotionally attached to scenes and incidents. I will say this: there isn't a single person I know that I've recommended this show to that DIDN'T like it.

Hello guys
I'd like to know if some of you can recommend me some really good mushy/dramatic romantic dramas with solid, charismatic leads that have great chemistry together? Not the ones with those Johnny's boys, please...I prefer grown up actors who can really act (no offense intended) And I unfortunately don't really like Takuya Kimura (I must be the only one in this whole wide world), so maybe no dramas with him too.
The dramas that I've seen from this genre and really stand out for me are Aishiteiru to Itte Kure, Tokyo Love Story and Love Revolution. I love oldies too, so it doesn't matter how old the drama is.

Relatively recent would be:
Orange Days
Last Christmas
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu
Kamisama mou sukoshi dake
Majo no jouken
Over Time
I haven't watched these yet, maybe:
Flowers for Algernon
Heaven's Coin
Dramas starring Tokiwa Takako, like Mahiru no Tsuki, Saigo no Koi
Koukou Kyoushi 1993
Just throwing names out, feel free to take or discard...
