LOL Maybe because he's trying to refrain himself from looking like a smiley in variety shows. His aim is to look cool!
Then when shooting Moon Child... maybe Hyde made him laugh so much he couldn't keep a cool face.

Just saw him at kouhaku 2003....i think he put too much make up......nearly same with those female enka singers....
He will be more kakkoi with less make up.....
Maybe he likes it that way.... _________________

frankly telling..his make-up is really thick..
imo..way too thick for a guy..
he did the same thing in moon child..
he definitely looks better with lesser make up

Haha, I'd have to second that. That guy is my idol! Well you know, not like but more like . I really admire him, he's an amazing singer, and he writes some very poetic lyrics. That's probably why I like Gackt too, he's got a lot in common with Hyde. Both are tremendously talented men

Ok, this is stupid but I had to post it.
Earlier today while eating lunch with a few friends, these three young girls started giggling, and pointing at me from across the room. When we were about to leave my friend Ryuta jumped up from the table and asked them what there problem was. Amazingly they told him I look like Gackt-san !!!!! LOL, my moment of fame....Im so proud!!!!
Of course I disagree with them.......but everyone is entitled to there own opinion.

It's weekly talk radio but you get a real good sense of what this guy is really like.
I think he's incredibly talented and courageous. But I also feel a little sorry for the guy - he's trying so hard to play down his photophobia (medical term for extreme light sensitivity) but I bet it's a real handicap - when you're in show business. I don't think he really lives and works in the dark by choice - example) he can only stand candlelight in the recording studio and at the radio station as well as in his home which has no windows. He knows he can't easily have a long term live-in relationship with a woman in that kind of environment. Best of luck to him though - no one in show business works harder, the guy only sleeps 2 hours everynight.
