Funny thing is I've hiked there at Runyon Canyon dozens of times in the past...I've never seen anything so interesting as C3P0...just a bunch of dogs but there have been a lot of fine women too. Beaten

If I was there I would have tipped the statute over into the gorge and yelled FREEDOM like in Braveheart.

I watched some of it.
I was greatly surprised to see the movie Avatar not win much, and that
Hurt Locker movie won most of it all.

I saw the results on the news... Not surprised, really: the blockbusters seem to always get shut out of the major awards.

Well I was actually surprised to be able to watch the Academy Awards at all this year. Cablevison and ABC or its' parent company Disney had a big financial spat over who owed who money and ABC was pulled completely off the air for Cablevision customers in NY, NJ and CT on Saturday March 7th at midnight. Cablevsion somehow decided to restore ABC at 8:43 PM ET on Sunday night, with no advance announcement, eventhough the Academy Awards started at 8:00 PM ET. Or did it start at 8:30 PM ET, who knows? The whole thing was strange. Crazy I just happened to turn on my TV at 9:15 PM and was able to watch most the the award show.

I had a feeling Mo'nique was going to win for Best Supporting Actress in "Precious" so I wanted to see that and I did. I also thought that Katherine Bigelow was going to be the first female director to win for " The Hurt Locker" so I got to witness that too.

I do think the set director should have been a little less creative and more practical by not putting all the stairs on the stage that the presenters had to walk down without any handrails.

I mute out most of the acceptance speeches because most of them are boring! Bored

You are a pro, Enna. You got the whole viewing experience down to a science. Smile

I thought it was a bit ridiculous how they did an interpretive dance number to the score of The Hurt Locker....

I was going to, but since I wasn't nominated for anything (again) I decided to pass.

I watched! Victory! Peace! James Franco was painfully dull, you could tell Anne Hathaway was getting a wee bit desperate to compensate for his woodenness. I MISS BILLY CRYSTAL!!!! argh!

Pretty predictable Oscarcast overall. Rolling eyes Too bad for The Social Network. (As if the Weinsteins didn't have enough Oscars already.) Grumble At least Aaron Sorkin won for Adapted Screenplay, which he deserved.

Oh, and it was strange seeing Trent Reznor all nicely scrubbed up. So that's what he looks like beneath all that hair... hehe So at every NIN concert hereon he'll have to be introduced as "...and the lead vocalist, Oscar-winner Trent Reznor!" Lol.

Can't honestly say I watched. Just bits and pieces in between watching tennis and an episode of GOU...

I did think they might have done better with Billy Crystal and Whoopie Goldberg.

James and Anne are not good at standing up in front of a large audience are they??? Boring. Back to GOU...

Everybody seems to be panning James Franco's performance as one of this year's hosts.
