well, I'm from Malaysia and loves dorama. But, It's hard to find VCD with english/malay subtitle . I can't read chinese. I thought maybe we can help each other. I know this one Video store near my house which sell quite a lot collection of Dorama but most of it is still with chinese subtitle.

Hi aleen84,
I'm not from Malaysia but once I found this "Discussion Forum" for Malaysian's dorama lovers.
They talk about dorama's VCD in Malaysia,
so maybe you can get informations from there.
Just read carefully each page of that Forum so you can get the infos that you want.

Check this site :

Good luck :)

Thanks

well, if you ever go to 1-Utama (i'm sure you've heard of it), inside Jaya Jusco, there are doramas sold with malay subtitles, but trust me!!! You DO NOT want to buy it!! I start of by buying S.O.S and they cut a part when Takizawa is supposed to jump out to the street and Kyoko pull him in back. They just cut it and the next scene is Kyoko starting school already!!
So i change to Majo no Jouken, they cut it as well!!!!!! The beginning of the 2nd disc.. the 1st disc ends with Matsushita skipping school (Not really sure) and the beginning of 2nd disc, both Nanako and Takizawa are in the beach already, on top of each other...... (those who had watch it should understand!)...
I'm probaly bragging tooo much but whatever dorama you buy, don't buy it from Mestika Kasih (THEY CUT ALMOST EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!).....!! Luckily i change it to Taiyo wa Shizumanai, by MPEG... its ok!!

Dear eiko, I wanna ask you.. do you somehow understand chinese? I want to buy Itazura na Kiss and the title that I found here is with chinese subtitle. Do you bought the Vcd with chinese subtitle? About the VCD from Mestika Kasih, yeah, I know they cut a LOT.I bought Majo no jouken and face the same problem. But the problem is, the only malay subtitle VCDs here is from Mestika Kasih. Do you know another company that marketed VCDs with malay/english subtitle? If there are, maybe I'll find it as I'm sick with Mestika Kasih.

Hi, I just found this site for Malaysians!
I've also bought Japanese Doramas from Music Valley but couldn't find any in English. What company is it that's selling it in English sub?
Could you give the address?
BTW, I'm from Melaka. Anyone knows any good places to get shows with english sub in Melaka?

Dear cyber 7, the only dorama that I found with english subtitle is 'Shotgun Marriage' Till now, the companies that sell it is 'Video Box Sdn. Bhd.' and MPEG. Becareful though coz they used to sell Box Set with only chinese subtitle. Do check the label carefully.
