26-year-old TV Asahi announcer Mariko Dou is getting married next spring, it was learned on Thursday. Her partner is a 30-year-old man working for Sony Music Records.
According to sources close to Dou, the pair have been dating for more than two years. They met through work, as Dou has been a host on "Music Station" since 2004.
Dou also currently appears on "Kusano Kid" and "Yajiuma Plus." In October, she made her acting debut with a guest appearance as herself in the television drama "Mop Girl." Dou reportedly plans to continue working while married.

yeah. i talked to someone from japan some time before and he said that if you actually got accepted to work at Sony (mega-company actually but he mentioned Sony for the example) it's like 'WOW!' . something like getting into Tokyo univ. but hell, you pay to get in tokyo univ but you get payed at Sony! and he's probably one of those young executives. they're retiring early alright. $$_$$ *chi-ching!* that's a daily trip to the beauty center for you Mariko-san _________________

that's a very interesting way to describe her haha!! yeah she's not that type of girl.. she's more of a girl who will be baking cookies.. until you get home and she'll welcome you with a nice dinner.. a totally Ideal housewife..

21-year-old Nippon Ham Fighters pitcher Yu Darvish, husband of dorama star Saeko (she got pregnant a couple of months before they actually got married. no further explanation, just check out the picture below and you'll know why. LOL) received a substantial pay raise on Saturday, making him the youngest player in Japanese baseball history to attain an annual salary of 200 million yen.
The team raised his salary by 128 million yen to a total of 200 million plus performance incentives.
2008 will be Darvish's fourth season as a pro. This year, he led the league in strikeouts and had a record of 15-5 with only 1.820 ERA. He was named MVP of the Pacific League and received the Sawamura Award. source: TG

LOL.. what a way to describe her new life!!!! But I think that Mariko-chan is a sweet girl and she will become an excellent housewife for that man but gotta say she certainly picked the right guy haha

The rumored romance between Kumi Koda and SMAP's Masahiro Nakai seems to have finally been confirmed, according to the latest issue of Josei Seven.
The magazine snapped pictures of the couple on December 5, after the live broadcast of Fuji TV's music show "FNS Kayousai." They were seen returning together to Nakai's apartment, which he just moved into two months ago. Then on the 11th, Koda was seen carrying groceries to the apartment.
News of a possible romance first surfaced in August, but so far, neither side has denied the rumors.

It's True: Nakai-kun and Koda Kumi Are a Couple
Romance rumors that circulated during the summer about SMAP leader Nakai Masahiro (35) and "ero-kakkoii" pop singer Koda Kumi (25) are true after all. Today's issue of the weekly women's magazine "Josei Seven" includes photos of the couple at Nakai's plush Tokyo apartment, which he moved into just in October. The photos were taken on December 5, after the couple had both appeared on a Fuji TV music show. Koda was a guest on the Fuji show "Utaban", co-hosted by Nakai and comedian Ishibashi Takaaki, in late September and they both tried to laugh off the rumors. But with SMAP being the kings of the J-pop world and Koda being the top-selling artist of the last few years, the media are now referring to them as a "chou biggu kappuru" (super big couple). And with Nakai in the role as emcee for the female Red Team at this year's Kohaku Uta Gassen on New Year's Eve, he will have to introduce his own girlfriend on stage for the most widely viewed show of the year. And she's scheduled to perform the song "Ai no Uta" (Song of Love). That's just the kind of publicity that NHK have been praying for as the show has seen a slump in ratings over the recent years.

Glay vocalist Teru (36) and his wife, Puffy member Ohnuki Ami (34), were involved in a minor traffic accident earlier this month, it was revealed yesterday. Teru was making a right turn in Tokyo's Aobadai area when he collided with a young woman on a bicycle. Police are planning to prosecute him for accidental infliction of injury.

According to several people, they started dating in mid-December, around the end of filming for "Utahime." Then on the night of the 28th, they were seen together at a video rental store in Tokyo. In the past, Nagase was frequently seen at that same shop with Ayumi Hamasaki, whom he broke up with in July after a relationship of seven years.
Last week, a tabloid published a photo of the couple walking together with their arms around each other after a party for the end of "Utahime." At the time, Johnny's Jimusho denied that the two were dating.

Ayumi Hamasaki deaf in left ear
Fans of pop star Ayumi Hamasaki were surprised on Friday by a post on her fan club website revealing that the singer has gone completely deaf in her left ear.
Hamasaki mentioned that she had her ear checked last year. Her deafness was confirmed, and doctors said her condition was not treatable. The loss of hearing had started as early as 2000, when it forced her to cancel several shows.
Hamasaki said that she will continue her singing career as long as she can still hear with her right ear.
