I'm doing fine. Mr Green I've been lurking around these forums though.

Too bad we didn't have some sort of Jdorama get-together at the Cherry Blossom festival this year. Maybe next time, eh? I know a large number of frequent JDorama posters are in the bay area.

I think Elt usually tried to do some sort of gathering...

Isn't there another festival in Japantown later this year?

I'll make my appearance as well. We should get the Jdoramaholics together, like kitakaze, Elt (if he's not busy), Amrayu...

If you're up for carrying the Mikoshi this year, they need volunteers:

Just remember, drinking of mass quantities of sake before hoisting the Mikoshi is highly encouraged and traditional! Drunk hehe

I actually might miss this year's parade since I'll be out of town that weekend and may not get back until late Sunday. But this means I'll be there next year.

So I'll likely attend the first weekend's festivities since I won't be around the grand parade weekend. I'll be out there on Saturday so look out for an Asian dude with a Nikon camera..... (like I'll be the only one rofl )

Doch', I'll be busy running around Saturday helping to get things ready for the Cherry Blossom Queen Program on Saturday night.

If you're interested, buy a ticket at the door for the Queen Program, it starts around 7 PM. It'll be held in the Kabuki Theater's main theater room.

I just got back from the Cherry Blossom Festival...man, do I have a headache. Too much sake and beer and no water. Lot of beautiful women, the taiko drumming was cool, and I had unagi bento, soba, and those bean paste treats. If anyone saw a big dumb white guy with glasses and a Motorhead shirt wobbling down Post, that was me.

Interestingly, I was off to the side, opposite the pagoda when the Miss Japantown Queen and her court walked into the peace plaza. They said hi as they went by and I forgot how to say hi, lol.
