On the special mammoth project - a drama, Haru, Natsu and The Undelivered Letter: A Story of Japanese Emigration in Brazil, to mark the 80th anniversary of broadcasting in Japan in 2005

Japan�fs broadcasting will mark its 80th anniversary in 2005. NHK will produce and air a big drama written by a prominent scenario writer, Ms. Sugako Hashida, as a commemorative project. The lead actresses have also been announced. Haru in her youth will be played by Ryoko Yonekura and Haru in her closing years by Mitsuko Mori, while her younger sister, Natsu, will be played by Yukie Nakama and Yoko Nogiwa. The story takes place mainly in Brazil, Hokkaido, Kobe, and Tokyo. We will have two long-term location shootings in Brazil, centered around In Hokkaido, we will have location shooting in every season. The drama will be broadcast in the autumn of 2005.

wow.. the DVD was released so fast... Now I hope there is a chinese subbed version... or else I'm gonna have to translate for my parents...*lol... and my Japanese already sucks enough...haha

Anyways... This was such a touching drama.... i cried soooooooo much...

Tsubasa was just adorable as Yamato though, even though he wasn't the main character...

To see the relationship two sisters have is so touching..

hey dochira if you record the show off of television are you going to throw up that ish on the d-addicts tracker if no one else does? i remember reading your rap about it being broadcast with subs at the beginning of the new year up in the Yay Area.

i wish i could shed some light on that...but i don't know how closely bay area and socal japaneser programming mirror each other...if at all...

this maybe be premature but i'm sure you'd make prominent mention of it, if it floats on soCal airwaves Smile
