You hate him because of his looks? That's kinda mean... Sweat

I think the older Saku was quite perfect too, gotta agree with ralphm1999
low key, beaten by life.... as should be in keeping with his emotional distress

the older saku was perfect IMO. I remembered that Aki and Saku only went out for like 3 or 4 months and he suffered for 17 years of pain and loneliness. that kinda stinks.

finished Sekai no Chuushin de Ai wo Sakebu movie and also finished watching the first episode of the dorama version.

Just like Taiyou no Uta, i liked the movie version better. It's more compact but still meaningful.
Although there are a few differences from the dorama version.

The best thing that i like from the movie is that unlike the dorama, it's not trying to sell pretty faces! I really felt the chemistry between Saku and Aki in the movie. Excellent! Memorable, touching, and so sweet

The closest one to the manga would be the dorama version. Nearly exactly the same. The movie felt like it was a little bit rushing things but the dorama was a bit draggy to me.

And from what i've read from the manga, Sekai no Chuushin de Ai wo Sakebu by Katayama Kyoichi and Kazui Kazumi... i realized that Yamada Takayuki, again, is such a lame fruityboy bleh . I felt that Saku's character in the dorama was so miscasted he was an expressionless mellancholy boy from the begginning until the end. And the movie version actually has a big difference in, quite a big one actually.

The movie has better acting, the dorama has a slightly better plot. it just depends on which one you prefer.

8/10

I really liked the movie version.. shibusaki kou was reeeeallly good in that one... (even though her character wasn't really in the original novel) beside that fact and the old man with the camera shop the movie was pretty similar to the book...

i think the drama version was better. i always think dramas are better dan da movie version. maybe because theres more time for the plots to unfold and all dat.
btw.. how long ago did da drama start?
3 years?

It's available from Amazon and Tower Records in Japan - they can ship overseas although it is going to be a bit expensive. Here is a link to the OST to tie you over before you find the CD:

but i think plot wise ichi rittoru no namida is better somehow.
maybe it's because of the song that suits the movie much better.
i dunno.
but still i love this 2 movie alot.no matter which is better.

Sad drama Shameful Cry

Is the special a recap of the series?
I think I saw some parts that wasn't shown in episodes 1 - 11.

I really like the music in this drama.

Does anyone know where to find the midi or music sheet for "Saku to Aki"?

Not sure if these have been shared here before, I got these off a chinese torrent.

NG scenes and some stills at the end, chinese sub only but some of them can be enjoyed even without subs
