Hmmm. This show features Yoshino Kimura, Nao Matsushita, and Eriko Sato... and you're talking about some guy with a mole on his face.

It's a funny world.

Just talking about things less obvious to the common viewer... Smile

haha, yeah i think that was the first and only dorama that i've seen with tsuyoshi kusanagi in it....he pulled it off quite believably.

Same here. I was impressed: At the beginning, I kept seeing him as the SMAP guy, but after two episodes, I forgot about that. Thumbsup

Yup.

The perfect role for SMAP guy, I think... As I mentioned earlier, I think he's the most normal and likable of those J-pop goofs.

Beemer,

I find it a little humorous your praising Kusanagi when you always rooted against him in Dotch. Mr Green

I remember watching this dorama a couple of years ago. I thought it was an OK series with some pretty good actors. Shinichi Tsutsumi is usually interesting to watch, and I like Yoshino Kimura. As I recall though, I thought Emi Wakui was sorta misused. She is, imo, one of the better actresses in dorama in the last 15 years, but she's basically just a spear carrier in this series--at least that was my recollection; like I said, it was a couple of years ago that I watched it.

He was an easy target... His preferential treatment on Dotch made it really easy. hehe

Yeah, Wakui Emi pretty much had a bit player role in this drama and her relationship to Shinichi Tsutsumi's character was somewhat vague, but it didn't distract from the story at all...

I actually thought the relationship between Tsutsumi and Wakui was much more interesting than the one Tsuyoshi had with Matsushima. Much more complex and less...in your face I guess?

Anyways this is indeed a great drama, after I finished watching it I couldn't help but think the show would be great to watch in a business ethics class. Way more interesting and informative than the bs they usually make students watch.

I've noticed this drama seems under-appreciated! I finished it last week and I really liked it. It may be my favorite Jdrama I've seen yet. Why are there so few pages of commentary and so little appreciations applied to this high-quality and really fun drama?

Sadly, English-speaking dorama community is dominated by fangirls...
Neither SMAP nor Tsutsumi Shinichi is of particular interest for them Sweat

Although I wouldn't call it the best, this series is still one of my favorite dorama series of all time.
I may never have gotten into fansubbing if not for KoiOchi hehe

Yeah... it's so much fun! And I think it does a good job creating some interesting characters too. Too bad about the fangirl-ownership (not that there's anything wrong with them, as a whole)... I think in the US, the word drama instantly has a connection to females more than males.

-Bond, James Bond.
+Shimao, Suzuki Shimao. With "Island" and "O of Otoko"

I liked this dorama. I can't say I enjoyed every minute of it, I watched primarily for the forseeable changes in the characters way of life to be happen, what impressed me particularly was how they managed to conclude those changes. Especially last 2 episodes were the best. As for Kusanagi, his character was very annoying at first. After Ninkyo Helper and "drama" moments in this dorama I concluded that I like him when he is serious, not goofy. I think he sucks when he tries to be a sweet/goofball guy, but he manages to be very good when he acts serious. Tsutsumi-san was at his best so I admit it is not a fair competion for Kusanagi heh. Tsutsumi Shinichi was beyond good in here, his chraracter's change is the reason why I liked this show.

Thanks to bmwracer and E.G. for the recommendation. Victory! Peace!

Glad you enjoyed the show. Victory! Peace!

I thought the entire cast was quite good: I thought Tanihara Shosuke and Sato Eriko stood out as well, even though their roles weren't that big.

Probably worth a re-watch in the near future. Smile
