The Best way to acquire info is to inquire The Japanese Embassy in your country. They have all the answers to your questions!
Check out this site as well http://www.mofa.go.jp/ with its sub links http://www.mofa.go.jp/link/visit.html and
http://jin.jcic.or.jp/

I will probably go work in Japan as well; unfortunately it isn't so easy to get a visa Sad
But if you are student it's easier, like Pemu I recommend contacting The Japanese Embassy!
As for job check out this site:

Ganbatte Kudasai nicholl san!!!

P.S. Where in Japan are you planning on to go, if you're going to Tokyo then a suggest you stay with your sister because the rent for an apartment are TOTEMO TAKAI !!!

not a problem! just go live in Tokyo near roppongi where there are tons of foriegners that speak english, and then go teach english. that way you have no culture shock, and you get a quick visa... of course thats not the real way to experience japan and infact i would recommend against it......BUT! it is possible!

Same here, if you're going to Tokyo for work then I suggest roppongi, but if you want to experience Japan and its people then take that risk!!!!!
Even when your Japanese skills aren't that good, you'll find your way! Ganbate!

A good friend of mine, she's Japanese, came to Germany without knowing the language at all. The only way she could communicate was in English and now after a year she as found a lot of friends and knows the country very well!

I hope this supports you in a way : )

Although fiercely proud of the fact that I am a U.S.Marine, it's also sad that these news come up so often about my fellow compadres.
