Hi everyone!

We're sitting on a new server now. Do give some feedback on its performance and such. And let me know if you encounter any problems like missing email, etc. Much appreciated. Smile

w00t! Applaud Bow

Everything's working fine for me. It's fast and doesn't seem to have anything missing. My last post is still there, made seconds before the move and I still have a PM in my outbox, waiting to be delivered.

BTW, a new version of phpBB came out today. Smile

I found 1 problem. Pout

The clock seems to be offset. I'm in GMT -4 (North America ~ East coast). My clock is syncronize with an atomic clock, but the time on the board is wrong. I posted a message at 11:14PM Friday night, but it's showing as 3:23 am Saturday morning. I checked my account settings and they are GMT -4.

Working fine for me. I've been bugged by the site's performance over the last few weeks so this feels like heaven. Thanks to everyone for the hard work they must have put in.

BTW just noticed that the post time is one hour ahead of the actual time for me (I'm in the GMT+8 zone). Shindou's message was sent before mine (I read it before responding) but ended up as being more recent than mine.

Trying to figure out the server time. Apparently it works for -4GMT but for +8GMT its still 1 hour ahead. Not sure if its got to do with daylight saving, anyone has experience with this? Head Scratch

That's true, thtl's right, i'm in EST which is usually GMT-5 but due to daylight savings, we're currently on GMT-4 (EDT) and i can confirm thtl's msg was sent after mine.

let me try figuring out which time zone is incorrect tho i'm probably gonna get myself more confused with this time zone business Head Scratch lol

my post above was made at 10:24 am at the moment in EDT = GMT-4 but according to the server's clock, it was made at 11:24 am (EDT) - also one hour ahead in general. I'm wondering if GMT is set one hour too fast? this is cuz it confirms daylight savings is taken into account (ie. EDT is correctly being used) and both thtl and my post are one hr ahead of actual time.

On the old server, I had to change my time zone from GMT -5 to GMT -4 last week, because of the daylight saving. I had to change it back to GMT -5 to show the right time today. My guess is the server is in daylight saving too, so anyone not in this mode will be ahead of an hour.

Also received this message during my last post. The post was successful. I remember seeing this message a few months ago.

I found the previous error and solution here. DA seems down. It could be related. Something still has the old IP? Head Scratch

*edit* I don't get the error message, if I don't preview my message before posting. Confused

I keep getting weird errors after clicking on the post reply button 1/4 of the time. A refresh page cures it though. It looks like source code.
