i love jdramas after watching love generation... then i can't stop myself from buying other dramas and didn't regret it at all...

in my opinion, most of kdramas move very slowly and they do talk a lot... after talking, they were crying, and then start talking again... sorry to say, i really dislike winter sonata and autumn in my heart... but i think my love patzzi is cool as the story moves quickly and there are lots of funny scenes...

my first 1 was Kamisama mou sukoshi dake (precious time)
this is a good beginning isnt it?..
i'm sure even cold blooded fellas will cry after watching this drama..
this drama made me hooked up in jdramas...
i'm not too sure bout kdramas..
never watch any of them..though malaysians here nowadayz r crazy bout kdramas..
Crazy
u can finish watching a jdrama in a day..but kdramas..i think u need few dayz..
they tend to drag their plots...
Sweat
jdramas r straight to the point..no twist n turning..
i think most of the kdramas r mainly bout 2 girls chasing for a guy..one of them has nice characteristic whilist the other 1 tries all sort of dirty ways to get the guy's attention..am i right?..correct me if i'm wrong..

I haven't seen any Korean drama yet. But i will make sure to watch one in the near future. I grew up watching chinese , thai, and american drama. I i feel that they are all equally good. I just recently discover japanese drama by accident due to my love of anime and i found it to be good as well. Watching drama from different culture and country make me feel in touch with all human being in this world. Its very entertaining.

Watched up to 6 eps in Winter Sonata. kinda slow paced...characters developin takes time.
I didn't like Winter Sonata at the beginnin due to the drama's "Winter theme". I've had a long cold winter season ...warm weather came here a while ago. Still a bit windy right now, decent warm weather comes till late June. That why I wasn't keen to watch Winter Sonata. made me a bit depressed to remember the winter. The series gives me a feelin that Korea is actually a cold place, hehe. They really are into winter.
Watchin it slowly, 2 eps per day or should I say night, hehe.
Right now I really want to watch series which takes place in a warm climate region Smile Must finish Winter Sonata first.
I hope everyone understands my point.

BTW I like the theme song..dunno the title but it is sung by a guy. a Little bit of English and the rest is Korean.
The song is played at the 3rd ep where Yujin plays the cassette and memorizes Joon Sang.
It goes something like this:
"My memory....*korean*...You're far away....*korean*...I wanna love you forever!"

If anyone have this song or the OST, feel free to send!

thanks!

i dont understand why soo many people are so hooked on winter sonata here in singapore.. bae yong jun does not look 18 from no matter which angle you look at.. so does choi ji woo.. that's what makes the show seem unreal.. if there is a role of an 18 year old high school student.. you would want someone who at least looks 18..

i think also that maybe it's not their fault.. it's just that in japan you have a bigger pool of stars to choose from while in korea the stars there are all reaching their thirties.. koreans go for maturity in guys i expect..

i,too, find that kdrama takes really long to develop the characters... watched a few episodes of Winter Sonata when they showed it over Channel U... at first tot dat the show's alright... then found that it's really draggy....

somehow came to the conclusion that when you watch kdrama, you don't have to finish the whole series... after watching few episodes, you get the gist of the whole story... kinda predictable.... episode after episode just revolves around the same old thing... still hasn't managed to finish a full korean drama... usu jus watched a little here and there... and usu jus those that was shown over the tv...

started watching kdrama cos' i wanted to find out what's all the big hoo-haa about... Crazy there was such a sudden interest in them.... the nxt thing you know, tv's showing them almost everyday... still hasn't managed to find one that capture my attention or interest...

but gotta admit that they do have some rather nice theme songs...

it seems like korean drama uses more music to package their dramas.. it's like their theme songs always seem to be very fitting for the storyline.. but japanese dramas go for the more actors' style.. as in jdramas' selling point are the actors more than the incorporation of music into the drama storyline..

Michi -- I'm only at Episode 6. Have to watch one disc per day coz my lil' sis will kill me if i watch it without her.
Mine is bought from M'sia. Remember when i told ya my bestfren from KL is helping me buy?? She sent it over already.
I prefer the mly subs for WS rather than for the J-Doramas. I was hoping that the subs for GL are similar to WS but it's not.
Btw, the J-d that are subbed by 'Coco' are pretty bad. For one thing, the malay is kinda weird and they're too fast...

Oh, I think i have the same version as yours. Cos mine also have the songs translated. My gosh...it make the scene more intense and sadder...
I love that song so much. I even have the Malay version by Hazami downloaded to my MD.

Bagaikan siang tiada mentari
Bagai malam tiada cahaya purnama
Tanpamu tiada erti hidup berdua
Ke akhir masa kau kucinta

Bagaikan syurga tanpa bidadari
Kau ibarat hembusan nafas terakhir
Pulanglah sayang usah kau berpaling
Di sini ku pasrah menanti

Cry Applaud The malay one is a little "jiwang" but i still like it.
