roadshow : November 3, 2007

"Koizora" is a love story that was originally published on the popular cell phone site Mahou no iRando. It was authored by new writer Mika, and is based on her own experiences. The story was released in book form last October, selling more than a million copies in its first month.

The story revolves around Mika (named after the author), who falls in love with her classmate, Hiroki, upon entering high school. But over the course of the novel, she ends up suffering through many trials, such as rape, abortion, and betrayal.

TBS director Natsuki Imai ("Orange Days," "Taiyou no Uta") is in charge of the film.

The story of this book is Mika and Hiro's love story.
Mika has began to go out with Hiro. And, one day tragedy happens to Mika. But Mika is supported in deep love of Hiro and heals the wound of the heart slowly. In the spring of the senior high school, Hiro said good-bye to Mika suddenly. Then Mika has begun to go out with Yu to forget Hiro. At night of Christmas , Mika knew the secret of Hiro..

Oh there is a thread for this movie and I will be the 1st to reply. =) Yeah I already replied for the drama version.

I was touched by the story though a bit dramatic. Here are some spoilers.

Well, it's said that it is a true story and someone actually posted the pictures of real Mika and Hiro at a chinese forum. But then I don't know how true it is. =p

Perhaps the novel is much more in detailed and will be better than the movie. I just felt that it was too rush as though it happened within 3 months. ><

my opinion... is hmm,
when I first watch it, it was nice and touching.

but when I watch it for the 2nd time, i don't feel like it's that nice already.

really good movies, in my opinion, are those that, even when you re-watch and re-watch, the excitement and feelings are still there, like how when you first watch it.
