Tsuchiya Anna (�y���A���i) is a model, singer and actress who started her career as an exclusive model for seventeen magazine at 14. In 2002, she became the vocalist of the indies band Spin Aqua and later in 2004 started an acting career, playing Shirayuri Ichigo in the award winning comedy Shimotsuma Monogatari. Currently Anna continues on her musical career with a solo project under the MAD PRAY RECORDS sub-label of Avex. Anna is semi-proficient in English, having better command of an English accent than her peers (however is not a fluent speaker of English). Anna writes the lyrics to almost all of her songs herself.

In 2004 she had a child whom she named Sky (���C) with her late ex-husband, JOSHUA, who she met through her modeling agency.

In 2006-2007, her popularity rose when she became the singing voice for Oosaki Nana in the NANA anime adaptation.

Yeah. Trust me, I've met her in person so I know it's not just make-up or post-processing/Photoshop.. she's gorgeous, and (usually) on a bad day she still looks really good. I don't know what happened with the Shiseido press conferences.

Yeah, even though I think she looks alright with blonde, she's much better as a natural brunette. I also want her to stop bleaching it so her hair doesn't fall out at an early age :p

Japanese eyes

I just watched Pako to Mahou no Ehon (Paco and the Magical Picture Book), Nakashima Tetsuya's (Shimotsuma Monogatari, Kiraware Matsuko no issho) latest movie, and it was absolutely beautiful. Anna's last movie was Sakuran, but I felt that was lackluster as a whole movie itself.. it seems that she's very much in her prime under Nakashima's direction. She was wonderful!

It seems that Shiseido is using her as a model for another line of their products as well, called Anessa. CM debuts March 19~
