Abe Natsumi to release self-cover album and go on tour
Abe Natsumi will release her first self-cover album "Smile...♥" on her solo debut day, August 13.
This will mark Abe's first solo work in about 4 years. Her last was a single titled "Ame Agari no Niji no You ni" which was released in September 2010. The album will include a re-arranged and re-recorded version of 10 songs that reflect Abe's history.
In addition, Abe will kick off her nationwide tour "Abe Natsumi Summer Live 2014 ~Smile...♥~" on July 19 at OTODAMA SEA STUDIO.

Abe Natsumi getting married
Former Morning Musume member Abe Natsumi and actor Yamazaki Ikusaburo are said to be getting married within this year as reported in the media on 21 December. When asked about the news, their agencies both commented that this is their private matter and will leave things to them but did not deny the rumours. The couple met through the set of stage play "Arashigaoka" in July 2011 where they played a married couple and were romantically linked since August the same year after being said to have kissed multiple times during the celebration party to mark the end of their stage play. They were also caught going on a date in September 2012 with two of their friends. Despite their agencies never having admitted to them being an item, the couple had been dating for the past four years.
Abe left Morning Musume in January 2004 after she joined the group as its first generation members in 1997 and became a solo singer and actress after that. With her impending marriage, all 5 members from the first generation of MM are attached. As for Yamazaki, he is a regular in many musicals and stage plays and was recently seen in the TBS Autumn 2015 drama "Shitamachi Rocket".
Coincidentally, Yamamoto Koji and Horikita Maki who got married this year also acted in the same play during May 2015 although Yamamoto played the lover of the married heroine, not the husband.

Natsumi Abe welcomes her first son
Abe Natsumi and Yamazaki Ikusaburo welcomed the arrival of their first son on 26 July and released a joint statement through his agency on the following day. In the statement, the couple revealed that they were very touched when their son was born and cried together. They pledged to raise their child well and asked for the support of everyone around them as they are inexperienced at being parents.
Abe and Yamazaki started dating after working together in the stage play "Arashigaoka" in 2011 and got married on 29 December last year. Abe announced her pregnancy in February this year.

Natsumi Abe pregnant with second child
On May 10th, Natsumi Abe the '11th Best Mother Awards' ceremony where she announced she is pregnant with her second child.
The awards are based on votes by mothers nationwide and are given to persons in various fields. Abe, who has a son with actor Ikusaburo Yamazaki, was chosen in the 'music' category.
During the event, Abe was asked about a second child. She answered, "I am currently pregnant with my second. I have entered my stable period and am due sometime in the fall."

Natsumi Abe has announced the birth of her second son.
Abe and her husband, actor Ikusaburo Yamazaki released a fax stating, "The other day, our second child, another son, was born without any problems. We will carefully raise our precious child."

Natsumi Abe welcomed the arrival of her 3rd child on December 27th 2022.
She announced on her blog: “To everyone who supports me. The other day, I gave birth to my third child. Both mother and child are healthy!” “As a family of five, we are spending the New Year holidays more and more lively. I would like to continue to cherish the peaceful, fun, and irreplaceable days from now on. Please take care of yourself… good luck. Please welcome the new year! With lots of love and gratitude…”
