I started watching this jdrama rather reluctant - Kimutaku as T100 protecting someone from the past.
It proved to have a slow start and addictive by the second episode.
The series is about love, hence the whole scifi part shouldn't be taken into account (IMHO) more than the love part.
I believe that at most one can go as far as considering the A.I. gaining self-will as a result of advanced design and interaction with human beings.
The special effects are decent - not overdone.
The characters I liked:
- Kimutaku played very well - I liked how he managed to portray the scientist and the robot - a bit of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
- Suppli was great - childish enough to warm your heart, yet mature when it mattered.
- The detective was a mixture of rebel without cause and blade runner cop.
The soundtrack was touching.

I recommend watching it!

This has the seriousness and believability of a children's show. It does that classic thing where the bad guys have a chance to kill their victim, but instead of pulling the trigger they decide to take the opportunity to explain why they are doing it, just long enough for the hero to arrive. They try to back up the story with some advanced theoretical physics type of stuff, which I have seen done before, and it's a good idea, but here it feels half assed and usually is just wrong, bad science. Everything here is just basically for lazy story telling conveniences, the hero can magically phase in whenever needed, and bad guys can upgrade whenever. This should be merely a bad Power Rangers like kid's show that I hate. But, strangely enough it stars Kimura Takuya and Shibasaki Kou, and clearly is for adults. They definitely didn't pull off the sci-fi plot, but the main stars at least are capable of delivering a decent love story. So in total there is a little good with a whole lot of bad, but at least the bad is different and fun.

(August 12, 2019). It's been 3 years without watching doramas. I chose this one because I'm currently playing a videogame known as Judgment (死神の遺言, Judge Eyes in Japan) with Kimura Takuya playing the main role, so suddenly I wanted to watch one of his doramas and Ando Lloyd was on my to-watch list. BUT... It starts as a very poor quality dorama, close to Sh15uya. After 2 or 3 episodes, the plot changes slightly and moves toward something more interesting, but not brilliant, though. If you want to kill someone so badly, you don't just wait there for several seconds just to give enough time for the hero to get there and save the damsel in distress, do you? Anyway, it was funny to see him both as a Sheldon Cooper-like character and as a serial killer android (because he always delivers), but this may be his worst dorama so far.

Kind of a cross between 'Terminator' and 'Matrix' with enough blood to make Takeshi Kitano homesick. Kimtaku take my advice, go back to being a romantic leading man, you're not so good as an avenging killer robot.

How can you not like this? It has battling androids, a love story, plot twists, social/political commentary, and KimuTaku's hair! Especially watch for Tsubasa Honda, who totally steals the show as Suppli.

Great cast and computer graphics backed by a poorly structured storyline... Such a waste! This is by far the worst and weirdest show I have seen Takuya in.

I cringed in the first 2 episodes each time they played the Asura OS and requesting sequence, but it got better eventually.

Could not bear myself to watch more than a couple of episodes... why on earth did Kimura Takuya say yes to this one?
