What happens when you are over 30 years old & unmarried? Moreover, not attached & stucked in a working world of the men. This drama truly reflects the status of women in the society of Japan. A woman's happiness is to quit her job, get married & stay at home for good. Anego - Japanese for big sister. That's what 32 year old Naoko-san is known as among her peers. She's like a big sister to all in the company, providing her fellow colleagues a shoulder to cry on & a person to pour your woes to. So who does she turn to when she has troubles? Another excellent performance by Shinohara Ryoko. She brought out the exasperation of a 32-year-old single woman seeing her fellow comrades get married after one another. Dislike the plot where they made Ryoko fall in love with a junior colleague who's 11 years younger than her. Too over done. Like the idea of having Naoko-san "talking" to the audience at the start of each episode. Especially like the scene where all the female workers sent Naoko-san off on her last day of work. Girl power rules! |

I can go on and on about Jin as Kurosawa but I won't. XD He's the main reason I started watching this, but after this dorama, I fell in love with Shinohara Ryoko too <3 She's really awesome, as is the character of Anego. With flaws, but yet so perfect at the same time. I love the interactions between Naoko and Kurosawa, they really liven up each episode. It's sad to see the status of women employees in Japanese companies though... it's probably good that I'm not working there. |

I was very impressed when I first watched it when it aired, but I don't think this is a rewatchable drama for me. The only novelty upon repeated viewing is the use of type-face to indicate the thoughts of individual characters. The setup of the lead is just so unconvincing! She isn't a career woman at all!! Her job consisted of running errands and making teas, basically a secretary of some sort. The only thing that distinguish her from the other female characters is that she's been there the longest. The title should really read "the love life of an office tea lady in her 30's".

This is one of the most enjoyable show for the season! Especially interesting to see ryoko desperate for love and marriage, coupled with some funny scenes that she got the wrong 'hints' etc.
I thought that towards the later part of the show, things start to get a bit heavy, and part of it rather sad.
Overall, she performed an outstanding act in the show! Cheers for her!!
I just LoVe Akanishi!!! He's sooo cool, handsome and really acted well in the show.. There is a lot of chemistry between both of them and really made me couldn't resist continuing this show and finished it within 2 days... rather romantic but typical plot between the love of an older woman and younger man, and they have done well to make this show a success.

A modern day tale about a woman, nicknamed Anego (big sister), and her love story at the age of 30 with a young man who is ten years younger than her. It's cutesy tale with touches of comedy about the daily thoughts and duties of a working OL who is still looking for that special someone.
Shinohara Ryoko did a wonderful job portraying Noda Naoko, the lonely woman who has not yet found her love, but is helping all the other women in their love lives. Her train of thought and actions were all very enjoyable to watch. The chemistry that she had with Akinishi Jin was surprisingly good and at times very cute (more like friends). I would recommend this drama to anyone who would want to enjoy a nice romantic comedy with a lot of good-looking faces. |

This was a great drama... I watched it of course for Jin... but all the other casts were great actors.... Shinohara Ryoko is great as Naoko... It's really worth a watch.. Superbly acted by lead actress Ryoko Shinohara...she has great comic talent balanced with the ability to elicit dramatic tension quite well. Although this dorama falls into the overdone "Older woman-younger man" genre of romantic doramas currently being aired on Japanese televison, it does offer an entertaining insight into the life of a working woman looking for love. Acting by Jin didn't quite cut it....very little chemistry between he and Ryoko kind of diminishes the effort as a whole. Might be worth the effort to watch it but depends on one's personal preferences for dorama. Again, Ryoko Shinohara is the star although the supporting elements did add substance to the performance as well. |

I must admit I watched this drama for the joy of watching Akanishi-kun. With the end of each episode, I couldn't wait to start the next. Do older women younger men relationships really last in real life, I wonder? But its fun while it lasts. I also like the open ended finale, it allows the viewers to come out with endless possibilities of how the couple finally ends up together. |

This drama is so great and so frustrating at the same time ^^' I can't stand the annoying wife and her dumb husband. Poor Kurosawa-kun, he goes through a lot! Akanishi Jin really threw me off my chair... he is so cute, handsome, sweet and touching! This movie is fun and get more exciting if you keep watching. I may understand everyday life of Japanese working women realistically, what they are really thinking, the problems they face, and how they do their best to survive in this world. Great movie! |

I didn't like the leads though & the ridiculously huge age gap between them was simply too much to swallow. With other lead actors I would've enjoyed this drama a bit more, cause it's not that bad & I like office themes. But now I'd say this one's only a must see for fans of Kat-tun. |

This dorama has nice cast. Jin is really cute and a good actor as expected and I think Ryoko also was a good actress. It was the first time for me seeing Ryoko act.
.. But talking about personalities; I didn't like Ryoko's person, Noda Naoko, much. It was fine at the beginning when she always helped her friends with their problems and all, but after a while, it became too much. I just thought like, "Can't you just refuse them or something next time they ask for advice?" I mean, she's tired and sick of it already. And her friends don't notice it. But I guess that's part of Ryoko's role. It was just annoying at times..
I either didn't like how she switched between Jin and Sawaki. It felt like she was playing with them. I didn't get the feeling of love from her. It was confusing of who she actually had feelings for. The first day she said this and that nice thing to one of them, and the next day she would dump that person and switch to the another. And how she played with Jin - proposing to him, going on a date and saying she was only playing around on top of it.
Well, all in all, I didn't like her character so much. I just felt like she only wanted SOMEONE to marry. But I liked Jin's acting though. He was emotional and sweet and we all knew that he fell for Naoko from the start. It was nice seeing him having an eye on her all the time and when he became all happy-smiley when the two of them got a little closer..
The end was, however, actually bad. Nothing much had changed from when the series started. Just Jin and Naoko getting a little more closer. But Jin is still after Naoko and Naoko is still after someone to marry. We didn't get to know for sure if Naoko fell for Jin at last or something..
But then, there was that fairly good themesong. And well, Jin was like the sun shining in the series and made it alive. So, it's worth watching anyway. I enjoyed it like 85%. |

I enjoyed the whole series, every episoed was worth to watch..really nice but not awesome. Too less scenes with Anego and Kurosawa, I hoped along the series and waited till they become a couple, but unfortunately they never became one...
The ending was kind of good, but I don't like open endings.

I watched this in Japan while being an intern with not a lot to do in a training company. The drama helped me a lot to understand how companies work and what role women still play in Japanese companies. I met so many intellengent women who where soooo underused. Therefore the drama will always stay close to my heart. Unfortunately the love interest had to be one of the least talented JE-Boys. |
