Synopsis |
---|
Based on the anime of the same name, this drama is about Kiyoshi Imawano and his family, who move into a haunted house. The entire family, except the occult-obsessed father, gains the power to see ghosts and spirits. It's up to Kiyoshi to find out why the house is troubled by all these strange occurrences and save his family, and possibly the world, from inter-dimensional terrors. | |

| 1. | A lost gem! ^___^ [Rating: 9/10] I found this dorama by chance, I didn't expect too much from it, but I got hooked right after a few minutes: it's terribly funny, mocking all the cliches of the genre ("genres", as it's not only about horror, but also SF...you'll find UFOs, time travel, ghosts, zombies...).
The actors did a nice job (particularly Takahashi Issei, Fujimura Shunji, Jay West and Toyama Kyoko - the latter portraying the extremely funny younger brother of the monk, and the totally cute ghost Asami-san), the soundtrack is very nice, and overall it's a great dorama, I wholeheartedly suggest this! ^___^ | Reviewed by pash on 8 January 2012 |

Often it looked so incredibly cheap that I just wanted to look away. But it makes up for it with a superb comedic timing, a unique sense of self, and a great dynamic between the characters. Sure it's not the greatest, but it does incredibly well for a half hour, supernatural/sci fi/fantasy fusion sitcom. Best part? The incredible ending. Well, maybe not the BEST part, but I recall it fondly... | 3. | Comments by Eyeyore [Rating: 6/10] slapstick comedy. telecast in 2004 | 4. | Comments by mogsan [Rating: 7/10]
