Good acting from Tomosaka and other casts. Especially from the little boy (Nakayama's youngest brother). Good Ending.

3. Old but a classic [Rating: 10/10]
Tomosaka Rie looks amazing and her acting was great! I really like this emotional ride! The plot is simple and tight. It'll keep your attention through the whole show. A must see drama classic. It's right up there with the best. Don't miss it.

Tomosaka Rie just looks amazing in this earlier work and her acting was great! Her face just shined on screen. I really enjoyed this emotional ride from start to finish! The plot is simple but tight, with no dull moments in between. It draws your attention through the whole show. I consider this a must see drama classic for fans. In my opinion, its right up there with the best. I know this is an older one but don't miss it.

Although this drama was produced some time ago, it was quite interesting to watch. Stars Tomosaka Rie. She was asked to replace a rich man's daughter to marry a man for business reasons. Quite funny & touching drama.

Tomosaka Rie's acting is not bad here even though she was very young.

Suprisingly good drama with a not-so-famous cast, but all very well acted. Even though the story seems very plain, it's the characters who brought the true emotions out. Recommended.

Charmingly, simple yet heartwarming. Rie Tomosaka delivers a moving performance which makes me wonder why she hasn't been given bigger roles than some actresses in the current entertainment scene.

Not bad. but eldest brother seems to have a constipated acting. I had wished there would be a side romance between the housekeeper and Obasan. Second and younger brothers are cuter than the main actor.it daunts on me that eldest 'oni-chan' straight-kind of look is already 'outdated' with young ladies during that era. The 'in' looks are the street-smart, messy hair, uncouth mouth, rebellious like Kimuya, Soriamachi ?

Nice, I like the story.

Heartwarming story, good script, and gritty and moving performance from Tomosaka Rie makes this light-hearted drama a definite winner. The plot can seem rather predictable, but it was engaging throughout, and the messages it put across is encouraging and full of hope. I enjoyed it very much.
