Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
Very good drama... a struggle of love to overcome obstacles of handicap and even death. Great acting by both male and female leads. Highly recommended!!! Theme song very catchy as well!!!
Dekichatta Kekkon [できちゃった結婚]
Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched)
Good entertainment value. Deals with career vs family issues. A little slow and uneventful but gets message across.
Food fight [フードファイト]

Friends [フレンズ]
Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched)
Nice to see a joint Japan and Korea TV drama production. The storyline is a bit simple; great acting by male and female leads.
Good Luck !! [グッドラック!!]

GTO [麻辣教師]
Rating: 8/10
A feel good drama about teaching, school, and doing your best when making decisions. A lot of comic relief mixed into the drama. A recommened light drama to watch.
Hotman [ホットマン]

Kimi ga oshietekureta koto [君が教えてくれたこと]
Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched)
An excellent drama and performance by Rie Tomosaka. Deals with autism and barriers of autism mixed together in a love story. Interesting storyline which is not too simple and boring. Recommended realistic drama!
Kindaichi Shonen no Jikembo Season 3 [金田一少年の事件簿 3]
Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched)
New cast gives new look and feel to this drama. Started watching Jap Dramas with the original Kindaichi (Domoto). Story and twist are still good in this new version.
Kindaichi shonen no jikenbo 1 [金田一少年の事件簿 1]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Part two got me hooked so I went and hunted down part 1 and was lucky to find it. Title theme is a great tune. Comments are the same as part 2: Great chemistry between the cast members and Tsuyoshi and Rie are a great duo/pair. A good balance of humour and suspense. Stories/Files are semi-predictable but wonderful to watch and figure out. I used to hate watching "whodunit" shows especially w/ supernatural legends but this is a great show that got me in and I just loved every episode. Highly recommended.
Kindaichi shonen no jikenbo Season 2 [金田一少年の事件簿 2]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
This was the first Japanese drama that got me hooked. Great chemistry between the cast members and Tsuyoshi and Rie are a great duo/pair. A good balance of humour and suspense. Stories/Files are semi-predictable but wonderful to watch and figure out. I used to hate watching "whodunit" shows especially w/ supernatural legends but this is a great show that got me in and I just loved every episode. Title song for part 2 is cool. Highly recommended.
Kinyoubi no Koibitotachi e [金曜日の恋人たちへ]

Koi ga shitai Koi ga shitai Koi ga shitai [恋がしたい恋がしたい]

Koishite Shinitai [恋して死にたい]
Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched)
Above average storyline... a bit thin at times but still enjoyed watching it. Good entertainment value.
Kyousoukyoku [協奏曲]

Long vacation [ロングバケーション]
Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched)
My 2nd Jap Drama that I watched. Very good... up there with Love Generation!!!
Love generation [ラブジェネレーション]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
A must watch drama. Although I thought that the last 1/4 of the series was drawn out a bit too long, it was overall an excellent emotional love drama!!! Great match up with Kimura and Takako. Music by Cagnet was also well done and well fit into the show.
Majo no jouken [魔女の条件]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
I didn't expect much in the beginning. Teacher and student relationship... heard this type of thing in the news. But as I watched on, I became increasingly emotional and wanted Michi and Hikaru's relationship to work out. Obvious issues involved are love and public acceptance. Matsushima is so beautiful (the first time I seen her in a jdrama). An overall excellent drama! (Not to mention a kickass theme song!)
My Little Chef
(Bought)
Nemureru mori [眠れる森]
Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched)
A slow but suspenseful drama. Central theme is to face one's past... whether it's a set of happy or sad memories. Life can proceed despite not knowing our past but we are what we are because of it. Other themes include obsession of love and family-type love. The plot is intricately linked with the characters involved. Theme song is good and well-made/strong opening sequence. Would recommend if you have the patience!
News no onna [ニュースの女]
(Bought)
Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi [空から降る一億の星]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
Confusing but interesting drama from the start. Deals with issues on the extreme such as betrayal, toying with love, and childhood trama, and conscience. Kimura Takuya is the anatagonist this time. He has shown he has good acting versatility in this role. Good intense drama...serious.. no laughs here.
Strawberry on the shortcake [ストロベリー・オンザ・ショートケーキ]
(Bought)
Summer snow
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
Intricate and interesting events based on a solid storyline. Unexpected ending which made drama's impact very punctuated. Great performance for the whole cast especially Tsuyoshi Domoto. Deals with issues of responsiblity, love, and tragedy. Highly recommended.
Tengoku ni ichiban chikai otoko [天国に一番近い男]
(Bought)
Tokyo Love Story [東京ラブストーリー]
Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched)
Can understand that it was one of the best Japanese dramas of all time but I honestly thought it was good at best. But then I can see some resemblance to Love Generation (I know.. this drama insipired Love Generation). The female lead was able to show a range of emotions where as the male was alright. I would still recommend this romantic drama though... takes a stand in showing how love can remain after a romantic relationship.
Trick [トリック]
Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched)
An entertaining drama regarding a professor and magician teaming up to solve people who claim to have paranormal powers. The reoccuring theme was that the magician's father (who was also a magician) was killed by someone with paranormal powers... keeps putting forth the point that "Paranormal powers exists". A great theme song as well.
Trick Season 2 [トリック2]
Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched)
Not as consistently entertaining as Trick 1 but nonetheless still entertaining. The episode with the psychic guy talking about the "Zooooone" stood out in this series.
Trick Season 3 [トリック3]
(Bought)
