Synopsis
In a modern society in which violent crimes are on the rise, there is a team that tries to resolve cases without bloodshed. It is the metropolitan police's special team, known by the abbreviation SIT (Special Investigation Team).

The SIT doesn't get into action after a case but heads to the site just as a crime is being committed. They are on the front-line of risky missions, facing off against criminals; tenaciously conducting negotiations with criminals.

Because the cases that they handle - kidnapping, hostage-taking, industrial blackmail and the investigation of other heinous crimes - often comes under the spotlight, it often develops into a question of accountability for the police top brass. As a result of the rigid police hierarchy that can curb the conduct of negotiators, the SIT is also a male-dominated society controlled with strict discipline.

There is one female negotiator, Usagi Reiko, who bravely fights at the frontline. She is isolated in the male world of the SIT but courageously fights against crime as well as her organisation.

So so, plot boring, not really negotiations but it's a mistery dorama.

I liked evry episodes but... It's not really about negociators and negications. But it was very nice drama with many suspens.

Sorry to Ryoko fans, but Yonekura Ryoko can't act to save her life. That plus a horribly cheesy and overly dramatic script means Koshonin = something you should not watch unless you are bored out of your mind. Sorry, just my personal opinion, but I feel very strongly about the issue. I just can't imagine anybody thinking that this is a genuinely good drama. Unless the person's definition of a good drama is seeing a hot girl in tight clothing pretending to be professional =P

Not so much about negotiation, more about the female officers having an uphill battle within the police department and the politics within the police force and how the power conflict affects the work of the negotiation team. We have seen a scene where the protagonist is slapped by her boss and one female officer giving massage to his boss in the police station. Not impressive at all but not particularly bad, PASS anyway

Great action and very interesting story. I'm impressed by U-kun's acting xD

I think it was trying too hard to be tough and intense. All the characters looked really upset all the time and Yonekura Ryoko needs to keep her eyes from popping out.

Another pretty enjoyable police drama in which the suspense and mystery were rather nicely played out. Since there were only 8 episodes, it did not really suffer from slow pacing unlike another police drama I watched recently (SP). Also, Reiko's dad's death was another highlighted mystery mainly covered in the last few episodes, which would seem like the drama had strayed off topic a little, but I thought that it added a bit more spice or else the story would appear too episodic. The random appearance of murderer Kyosuke, although little, but was extremely eyecatching. In fact, his weird mysterious character actually stole the spotlight among all the other cast; I'd say Shirota Yuu definitely landed a good role for this. It could be longer, since not enough negotiations were seen to actually prove the title, but then the stories are still pretty good and with the added twists from time to time, fans of police dramas wont be disappointed.

An ass kicking beauty and brains female negotiator in a male dominated police setting. Throw in some really stoic macho police sempai, a pyschotic killer and a mysterious past she has to overcome and kyaaa this dorama rocked my world from start to finish!!!

Far better than SP and for once I wanted to fininshed this much faster than any dramas. Very captivating storyline tho the ending is likewise predicable. But overall still fast pace.

Although it didn't quite meet my expectations, I quite enjoyed Koshonin. One thing I did NOT enjoy was the performance of Shirota Yuu, who looked like a pop star trying to act like a bad/crazy guy.... unsuccessfully. I couldn't help thinking how much better it could have been with a real actor playing the part. Yonekura Ryoko-chan was good, although not quite convincing as a tough-girl policewoman - especially if you've seen the other Ryoko-chan (Shinohara) in Unfair. She still looks sensational though!

It just got better and better.
