The only person I liked in this drama was the glasses guy played by Tsukamoto Takashi. Akane's character seemed a little over the top and her acting didn't seem to suit it very well especially in those parts of the episode where Akane was fired up when cooking. She seemed to hold back a lot whereas other actors/actresses who have played anime-like characters do it pretty well.
The story was very episodic and quite slow-paced. I found myself nodding off to sleep while watching it. The food battles at the end were predictable and weren't even that interesting to watch. (ie Shota no Sushi was predictable, but it was highly entertaining). The cutest part of the drama was the romance factor, but even that didn't have as much chemistry as I would have liked to see. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this drama for anyone unless they're die hard fans of either the main actor or actress. |

Not the best I`ve seen but not at all horrible either. You can`t expect much from this drama to start with epsecially when you have read the manga. It`s been done before..
BUT, still this managed to make me want to watch it sometimes and I eventually ended up seeing the whole thing. Don`t expect something serious, take this with a grain of salt and you`ll enjoy it! ^^ |

Dec 2006: This is another manga based drama with cheesy dialogues and formulaic storyline each week. The food part was alright, maybe because I'm not really a fan of tepanyaki. Theme song was quite nice, and the existence of Maki chan made it tolerable to watch, her acting still abit stiff though. I fast forwarded here and there in order to finish it. |

Everybody in Japan told me not to watch this. This is shit and it sucks. It's true that it is sometimes chou kimoi, but it's kawaii! After I watched the first episode I wanted to stop but....I continued and it's very bright and light. Nothing to learn, very light. Nice food, okonomiyaki tabetai!!!! and Akane is cute. I xas happy that the episode format changes at the middle of the dorama because it was getting boring to see them driving far have a teppan duel and go home! oresama fu review.......kansei! |

I watched 2 episodes so far. I won't continue. Isn't it embarrassing for any TV Station airing this... It's just outstandingly booooring, has no heart, like "hingekackt und hingeschissen" (german saying). I can't believe Horikita Maki lowered herself to star in such a lame show. Okay, the few unpredictable jokes are somewhat funny, but that's all about it. |

I watched this drama bcoz of Horikita Maki but i bit disspointed with her acting..I think Ueto Aya might be the best for her replacement in making delicious food since Aya always enjoy when she's eating anything..Maki has to put a lot of emotion and great attitude in order to fulfil the best result! But, the food always delicious and make me feel hungry... |

Horita Maki is really adorable in it, this is the first time I've seen her in this type of role, usually she plays the more quieter characters, but in this show she is quite lively and adorable. I am quite intrigued to see how this pans out. |

As a light-hearted drama, it's pretty good. Despite its repetitive plot, it had its touching moments... and I liked how the story was always full of hope and energy!
The food was excellent eye-candy, too. (Made me go get okonomiyaki :P)
