Nice... although its easily forgettable. Sixty Nine is those kind of movies to watch when u got nothing else to do and you're in the mood to watch a silly movie that just makes u laugh!

OMG! This dorama is really boring... Altough i LOVE tennis... and even play it... This dorama couldn't make me feel a lil' bit excited. The characters are annoying!!! The casting really sux (speacially BECKY, even her appearences on TV makes me feel sick!!!)

Its somewhat strange.... it doenst feel like a japanese dorama.
The plot is very good and original... the "flashbacks" r really sad.... altough i didnt like this dorama thaaaaat much i must say that this one is a good one, specially if one is tired of those "regular" doramas..... Wich is not my case.!

It is kind of an IWGP meets Densha Otoko....
For those who liked Densha, Akihabara@DEEP is waaaaay better than that! Altough i must say that some actors really sux... specially Kosaka Yuko... i mean... shes beatiful and can put some really amazing fighting scenes... but her acting skills r far from being the best....
And those "u must watch the DVD" parts r really annoying! I mean... c'mon.. how desperate one can be to sell those DVDs...

An-Donuts!!!! A nice dorama... made me laugh and cry at many parts of the show. The casting is OK... the characters are really adorable. The main thing this dorama lacks (and the main reason i didnt rate this dorama a 10) is the fact that Ando Natsu doesnt really have a main plot. I mean.. OK... An-Donuts wanna be a top chef and all that stuff but at most of episodes it's all about sub-plots and the main character helping other ppl. OMFG.... Becky's character is the most annoying character EVER! I mean. Gotta give some credits to the dorama for that. The other actors did a good/funny job as well (didnt know a thing bout Sanzu Sayuri.... well... shes pretty cute. hope to see more of her in the future); Well... bout the dorama itself.... having a annoying char as the protagonist is pretty unique but it didnt work out for me. The dorama is really "noisy" and there are waaaay to many exaggerating scenes (sometimes the doramas seems more like an anime than a dorama) and i dislike it. But in the end i guess i laugh pretty hard from time to time while watching this dorama... if one is looking for same laughs i recommend this one... otherwise stay away from this! |

I would give this dorama a 9.99999... rating. Ashita no, Kita Yoshio is really a nice dorama. Dont know y so many ppl tough it was a slow paced dorama... (and i dont know y so many ppl thinks that slow paced=bad dorama... i mean.. there r plenty of good slow paced doramas, haikei chichiue~sama for example)
Nways... i really like the casting for this dorama (Yoshitaka Yuriko and Matsuda Ryuhei r both really good actors... hope to see more from them in the future...) The plot is amazing... really caught my attention.... The only reason i didnt gave this show a 10 is the LAST episode. The ending REALLY sux! I felt that the dorama was kind of incompleted.

Overall a "OK" dorama.... but imo the "main" plot is quite boring.. "At Home Dad" just show the every day life of a father doing the house errands....
Because of that many episodes doesnt have any relation with each other whatsoever..... Maybe they could have worked a lil bit more on the plot.
As for the casting.... NaH... Abe Hiroshi is quite annoying as a father. I mean.... not that Abe~san is a bad actor... but hes just not fit for this character.

A good dorama (a little silly most of the times... but still a good dorama). The chars r pretty funny and the plot is ok (a lil over the bar tough). I must say that i didnt like the last few episodes.. most because all that treasure hunter thing that imo was plain stupidity. For those who like to watch those silly comedy doramas this one is a must see (although its far from being the best one). One last note... although the main idea of this show is kind of creative most of the scenes in this dorama r extremely cliche.... Well iIMO Atashinchi no Danshi is worth watching. |

Bambino! is really cool in the beginning but gets really bad at the last episodes.... almost painful to watch!
The casting is OK... some actors plays better than the others... But the 2 actors that really caught my attention were Matsujun and Ryuta Sato... They were outstanding is this dorama...
BtW.. im not sure... but isnt Ikeuchi Hiroyuki in the episode 7???? OMG... i was shocked... hes soooo different!!! But hes still an amazing actor!!!!

honestly i wasnt expect much from this dorama... (dont really like those terrorist+lethal virus stuff and watching Yasha in the past really made me think that japanese just cant make it work it out). Well... guess i was wrong! I still dont like those terrorist and chemical weapon stuff... but the dorama was quite enjoyable. The plot is superb.. i couldn't stop watching (well.. tha last episode was a lil bit boring comparing to the other ones). The casting is so-so.. some really good actors here but some r horrible (specially most of the terrorist group). The theme song is pretty nice but i dont think it fits the dorama very well... And lastly... The falcon CG scenes r way to lame. Still... a good dorama... if u r into those "prevent terrorists attack" stuff u will probably like it.. even i who dont like those kind of stuff kind enjoyed the dorama while it. | Brother Beat [ブラザー☆ビート]

Really nice dorama.... Honestly i wasnt expecting much from Brother Beat... but as the episodes goes on u really start to support the three brother and their mother....
HOTMAN still is IMO the best "family" dorama... But Brother Beat gets real close to it... And the history is really creative... Most doramas focus on the father... and brother beat is really different in that aspect... Something more or less like Summer Snow...
The casting is also superb... I really felt in love with the characters of this dorama... The music is OK... Brother Beat is a really well made dorama... I recommend it!!! |

Since i read the first reviews on this site.. i was expecting something similar to Sekai no chuushin... but OMFG!! Did those guys even watched both doramas... apart from the casting they have nothing in common!!!!
BtW... i never tough that Atsuro Watabe was such a splendid actor!!! (From the silly brother in Beautiful Life to this Evil character in Byakuyakou...!!! He's amazing!!!)

What an annoying dorama... such a good story, nice casting, beautifuls songs and it all goes down cuz the way they decided to put all that in the dorama. It's the most slow paced dorama ever (and its only six episodes)! The same flashback goes on and on... Damn... was it really necessary. Maybe they could put something else in it... dunno... maybe some everyday life of the friend (or something like that... so they could change the friendiship betwen the guys in the school more realistic). I got to know that this story is based on a manga.. well im not really into anime/manga stuff... but i guess i would be probably be right when saying that the manga version is way better than this (so... try that). |

Nice family dorama... nothing memorable tough. The casting is quite good (Sadayo Abe once again did a marvelous job playing a gay character) The plot is just what u expect from a family dorama.... a hardship appears the family struggle and then become happy and united once again. So if u dont really like family dorama this one probably wont do any good for you.

The whole dorama is just a waste of time.....
Maybe if u like anime and stuff u may like this dorama... otherwise.... its just terrible!!!! Stupid plot... Strange (and not really funny) characters... Overall its just a big waste of time. But again, maybe those who r into that anime and otaku stuff (and them only) will like this dorama.... If u r not one of them u will probably hate this thing as much as i did.... But Dr Koto - Shinryousho is wonderful... Its so touching!!! Heart warming!!! The plot and the casting r perfect... BtW.. i've seen that some ppl didnt like the main char. IMO he was the best... the writter really come with something different when they created the Koto's Char....

The first dorama staring Fukakyon i've watched.... and its pretty dull. I knew that Fukakyon's char was rich... but i tough that they would use that fact for comedy relief purposes only..... Damn... all the cases were solved by the char spending tons of money. Fugoh Keiji ignores characters development (so dont expect anything from it on that aspect) and all char r pretty cliche (the only one i tough was enjoyable was the grandpa). it's so-so... But much better from most of NHK doramas tough. As expected from a NHK dorama (well... not the Taigas ones) they dont work much on the character development due the short amount of episodes... for the same reasons (NHK again.. not talking bout the Taiga ones) the casting isnt something memorable (but on this one they put quite a nice show). Really enjoyed the ending (when the main char surpass all her friends) i tough they did a nice job on that... (altough, in the ending.. they could spare me from that horrible speech). Overall its not a BAD dorama... tough its far from beign a good one... there r good aspects in Gachibaka! But most of times it fails to entertainm the viewer. =^^= For those who liked Gokusen, GTO.. Gachibaka its just the same... no innovations whatsoever. But the main plot and casting were better in Gokusen>O... so even if u LOVED those 2... u still have high chances of disliking Gachibaka!

What a lovely dorama!
And wat else can we ask??? Beautiful actress such as Yaguchi Mari (former Morning Musume member), Toda Erika (main role... u~huuu!!!!), Aragaki Yui (in a much cooler role than the one she did in Dragonzakura), Suzuki Emi.....
And not to mention that this one have one of the most funny casting ever!!! Namase Katsuhisa (the legendary head-teacher from Gokusen), Furuta Shinta (any relation with Furuta Arata???), Sato Ryuta (IMO he's the japanese version for Jin Carrey.. LoL).
And Fujiki Naohito plays his role really WELL!! The foreign accent he does is marvelous!!! He's really funny in this dorama...
Gyarusa is really silly... no doubts 'bout that... But its the funniest dorama i've ever watched!!! I gave a 9 out of 10 only because of that UNREALISTIC part in the ending... But i must say i quite enjoyed the ending of this dorama...

OMG... I hope that rowing isnt as boring as this dorama... In the last episodes i was really bored! (skipping some scenes... playing Solitarie while watching it.... and so on)
And all those "ya... ya.. ya..." really got on my nerves!!! I dont know wich region of Japan ppl speaks like that... but i hope that i will never end up there... ("GanbatteYA..")
I dont quite understand how so many ppl enjoyd this dorama... Nishikido and Taguchi's chars were so alike.. i mean... they could use one "cheerfull" char.. i know its kind of "cliche" but at leat it would make "Ganbatte Ikimasshoi" more of a watchable dorama... The girls were ok... no bad acting... but the again nothing special neither....
But the worst point of this dorama is the plot... or the lack of a plot... Go watch Waterboys... its much better than this one!!! |

Well... lets pretend that i didnt watch Gokusen 1&2, if i do so i probably would found that Gokusen 3 is a nice dorama... (maybe not as good as "Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru"). I also would (at least) say that the casting was OK (mostly because of Nakama....)
But that is just not the case... cause i did watch Gokusen 1&2... and with that in mind i must say.... Gokusen 3 its just like them with a worst casting.... I would say this one is somewhat just as good as gokusen 2... a good way to remember the first one. |

Not a bad dorama (considering that GTO is kind of old) but far from being the best school dorama ever. The casting is so-so... altough i really like most of Sorimachi's works GTO definitely is not one of his bests. Lots of not known actors in this one that made their careers after this show... so i give GTO some credits for that. The theme song is the worst music ever. Haikei, Chichiue-sama is a good dorama... But probably most young ppl wont like it.... since they r used to those fast passed stories.. wich Haikei is not!!!
This dorama has a beatiful story... And it gets even better after some episodes.... The casting is also superb!!! U could even forget that Haikei is just a dorama... and start believing that those ppl really exists in the real world! And thats because all the actors play their roles with amazing acting skills.!!!

As most of ppl who have watched HOTMAN2 i was like "WtF?" when i first saw Shima... Actually i wouldn't mind if they had only changed the actress (Altough imo Konishi Manami is much better of an actress than Itoh Misaki) however they completely changed Shima's character as well...
Ryonosuke, Haiji and Hinata have the same personality they had on the first show... But Shima is less shy... less caring... Well.. i didnt like that at all...
Afterall i must say that i liked the first one better... But i gotta say that i think that HOTMAN2 is funnier than the previous one.

The actors were really funny... even Went Eiji from WaT surprised me and did a good job (his expressions were hilarious!!!) Altough i must say that Koike Teppei is waaaay better of an actor than him...

So~so.. the main problem for me was the fact that the plot was full of cliches. The background of Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji season 4 is based on real facts on japanese medicine (or at least i think it is).... so yeah.. i didnt like it. But lets be fair... thats just my taste for doramas talking... maybe if u r looking for something with a lot of medical stuff this dorama is excelent (not sure... i know nothing bout medicine). The dorama is marvelous.... but the ending is a big let-down! The actors puts a really good Job (Ueno Juri really deserved all the awards she got by her work in Last Friends). The plot is quite good (dealing with so many issues at the same time...) But they throw all that away in the last 2 episodes. Last Friends could be one of the finest doramas ever but its almost look like the writters got lazy in the ending. Its so weak... some side-storylines doesnt quite get a ending.... Honestly unlikely most ppl who watched liar game im dont really care 'bout the puzzles/games at all (i mean... they r fun to watch but this show put the character in such an irrealistic environment that in the end i'm really interested in the plot). With that being said i must say that this one is a 'lil better than the previous season. Nao~chan (Toda Erika) finally got to do something apart from being a cry-baby who believes in everything. They did a better job with the "main opponent" this time as well... at least now the viewer got the chance to understand the opponet a lil better. And i kind like the ending of this season... where the main char naiveness finally changed something. Almost perfect... honestly i was not in the mood for "romantic" genre when i first started watching Love Shuffle. But the show is really enjoyable! the casting is amazing and all the characters r really interesting (and Love Shuffle really did a great job buildin' up the characters as the show goes on). The plot is really well done.. i loved the fact that there were so many funny scenes in this show (The Pandas jokes always succeeded in making me laugh). The ending is amazing! Personally... i love school doramas (they r my fav.) but i was getting really tired of them cuz they all looked the same.. Just with a slight difference Medaka really stands out... The dorama is really heartwarming... and has a nice storyline.. the characters r nice but Aiba just ruins this show! IMO the major problem in Nodame is the ridiculous number of characters in the story (and its not like they appear just one episode and disappear.. they continue appearing on the dorama as the show goes on...) I found a lil hard to pay attention for the main couple, the two teachers, the maestro, the S-oke's members, the R-S member's, Chiakis's ex-girlfriend, the school director, Nodame's friends, the gay violinist, Mine's father, the reporter and his assistent... Amazing family dorama! One of the best i've ever watched... its fun and very enjoyable. Just one lil' advice: if u r one of those who likes those kind of "teen" doramas with Matsujin, Yamapi, Aragaki and Toda u probably wont like this. "Oishii Gohan" is one of those doramas that r suitable to watch with your family.... young brother/sister.... A family dorama (and its been ages since i watched one dorama like this). And the soundtrack is so nostalgic (im not that old... but i remember my parents listen to those songs). Damn... i coundnt help but sing together Misora Hibari - Kawa no nagare no Youni! And the theme song of this dorama is pretty good as well (Color - Aoi tori). the casting is amazing... the plot is pretty good (dont expect a lot of twists, suspense... since its not really this dorama's intentions) Nways.... So-So... I would have given a higher rating if Puzzle wasnt a complete worst version of Trick. Some of the episodes are plain stupid (e.g.: the last one) and even the better ones dont get even close to be as good as the stories from Trick. Since its one plot per episode... things goes really fast.. and sometimes it makes the episodes unbearable to watch (bodies beeing discovered almost at the same time.. lack of time to explain the reasons behind the crimes most of the times its all about revenge, wich makes the plots really predictable).

And those "special effects" (also in the last few episodes) were really unnecessary (not to mention lame). I really dont like Nakamaru Yuichi (i dont like KAT-TUN, didnt like him in Sushi Oji or in Yukan Club) imo hes just annoying. The rest of the casting is pretty decent. Btw... the ending is a big letdown... The reason for the murders is just ridiculous. The casting is pretty nice (not the best though) honestly i dindt expect the chemistry that Ninno, Nishikido and Toda showed. Overall its an excellent dorama the only reason i didnt rate it a 9 or even a 10 is the last few episodes they totally lost it in those episodes. |

I kind like this dorama... Altough i tough it was a comedy (judging from what i've seen on the first episode) i was really shocked to find out that it was a tragedy...
And thats something unusual... Nagasawa Masami's character would fit a comedy dorama better. Nothing agaisnt Nagasawa~chan... but they could give her a character that would actually fit the plot. The rest of the casting is ok... nothing spetacular nor bad.
Well... i liked the plot... very original!! The only huge problem is the one mention before... tha main char. doesnt fit the story...

Saru Lock really is a stupid dorama.... yet it is very funny!!! Quite a nice comedy dorama. The casting is pretty good the actors really add something to the comedy, the plot is simple and plain but it works fine (i really dont expect a amazing plot from comedy genre). On the other hand all those sex related stuff during all the show gets really annoying sometimes... And the ending for this dorama probably would get the award of worst ending ever! It doesnt feel like an end at all. i mean... i watched 6,5 hours of Saru trying to get laid and talking 'bout his missing dad and in the end........... nothing (i was really disappointed). Silly story... But extremely funny! Couldn't stop laughing from the very first episode until the last one! If u r looking for a serious plot... a lot of twists in the story, and stuff like that well my suggestion is: stay away from Seigi no Mikata.. other than that i highly recommend it! BtW... im one of those Yamada Yu's haters.. and still couldnt help fallin' in love with this dorama. Shida~chan is such an amazing young talent... hope to see more of her in the future (but not in stupid doramas like Tantei Gakuen Q). Finally.. a school/teacher dorama where the teacher doesnt come from a gang or yakuza.
the concept of this dorama is somewhat very similar to GTO... something happened in the past and students from a certain class lost their trust on teacher... than comes a new teacher and lil by lil she starts to gain their trust back....(altough i gotta say this... Seito Shokun is did a much better job than GTO...) I guess the casting is ok... nothing extraordinary bout it... Some good and well-known actors... as well as some new talents (and some new actors who probably should stop acting...) Nways... Horrible!!! If u r one of those otakus who likes Metal Heroes, Tokusatsu and stuff like that u still got a lil' chance that u will eventually like "Sh15uya" (LITTLE chance).. otherwise its just terrible! Basically they tried to do a Japanese version of Matrix and it didnt work out well (Btw.. i dont like Matrix but this one is way worst than it). The plot sucks.... The battles (?!?) r annoying... and OMFG the special effects, no comments about that... see for yourself. The PEACE guy is really annoying with all those random talking ("In the fall Meow Meow" Wtf thats supposed to mean??). The only positive comment i can say bout sh15ya is the casting... i kind of like Aragaki and im a big fan of Saya Yuki (BtW... y shes not in the Jdorama database?!?! She did Dandori and Ganbatte Ikimashoi as well as some other doramas!!!)

The best 2008's dorama i've watched... I mean, i was pretty disappointed after watching Rookies, Gokusen 3 and specially Code Blue.
Shibatora is the best 08 dorama i've watched. Even better than Maou..... Nice actors.... a superb plot.... good funny scenes... and when u finish watching one episode it makes u want to watch the following one ASAP. Really good dorama..... thumb up.

Finally... a dorama that take place in a historical city and not in Tokyo (or any other big city)-some island in Okinawa-sone city in Hokkaido-or some small city that doesnt even have an JR. And they choose Nara! Damn.. for that i already give this dorama 3 points!
As for the story.. its quite silly. Something you could expect in a children's movie (not a bad thing though... some children's movie r pretty nice) But Shikaotoko didnt work out for me... The only thing that made me want to watch the whole dorama was to know who was the "nezumi"s and the "kitsune"s messengers.... (well... at least something made me want to watch this... i couldnt say the same for a lot of doramas). The casting did a pretty good job (specially the Shika!) Nways.. overall its not a horrible dorama... just dont expect something memorable... watch it like u would watch a kid's movie! |

One of the best (if not the best) family dorama i've watched so far. The plot is original and brilliant! It goes beyond all that "work hard to be a better father for your family" when they put 2 fathers on this show (one by blood and the other who raised the kid) both always wanting the best for the kid... what makes the viewer understanding both point of views (in the end i was cheering fpr both of the fathers). Amazing character development (one of the best i've seen) SUPERB casting (Hiroshi Abe and Kenichi Endo have such a chemistry betwen them... its amazing!). Stand UP!! is kind of the japanese version of American Pie... and its even less funny (the dorama is kind of annoying) the plot is reaaaaally bad... but the casting (the support roles included) are nice... Stand UP!! is one of those doramas that are good to watch when one doesnt have anythink else to do (and one is not in the mood to think a lot...)

Quite a nice dorama.... "Sushi Oji" use the same idea of "KiraKira Kenshui" one main character going under the guidance of many instructors. But unlikely KiraKira, Sushi Oji dont waste time over trivial things (e.g.: support character's history... On KiraKira there's even one whole episode just for one of the instructors..) Well... afterall Sushi Oji is 3 episodes shorter than KiraKira.
Nways... the casting is pretty lame and the 2 JE's guys dont add much for this dorama. while i was watching the dorama i keep asking myself y would they cast "famous" actors as support roles... i mean... they totally steals my attencion from the main actor (for petes mama's sake... its been ages since Koichi~kun last appeared on a dorama... If it was not for the KinKi Kids i probably wouldnt even remember him).

Quite a good show.... and OMG!! They did what i never expected to watch in a school dorama.. that was pretty nice!
The casting was so-so... (im not a big fan of Oda Yuji) but 2 actors really steals the show... Gaku~kun and Yoshitaka Yuriko. Hope to see Yoshitaka in a main role in the future (since its almost impossible for Gaku...)

Tiger & Dragon remenbers me of Kisarazu cat's Eye... not only because of the casting (Okada Junichi, Tsukamoto Takashi and Abe Sayado...) but also because the way the episodes are developed...

Yeah... and i didnt like this very much neither. the songs are quite nice to hear... the casting did a pretty fair job... bot the story is boring as hell! And more than 1h for each episode.. damn.. i had to watch each episode like it were 2 episodes (30min each). And all that "man always cheat".. "but i love my boyfriend".. The begining of this dorama is so slow-paced.... not to mention that the story gets really confusing at this time (so many characters appearing at the same time and at the same time a lack of character development). Then the show gets a lil bit more interesting... u start to wonder who's the culprit and stuff like that (i could even say that the lack of chemistry betwen the characters didnt really bothered me.. but at least the lead roles could have some. I mean.... Goda starts to trust Sachi afterall) and then we have a good twist in the plot with a non expected murder but at this point the identity of the culprit get predictable (and u start to wonder the reason why he did that). And finally comes the end... and i KNOW that a lot of japanese doramas gives a crap reason for the crime but TRIANGLE gets the award of Crapiest reason ever!!!! Not to mention that one can easily predict whos the murder 1 or 2 episodes before the final one and c'mon.. if u r gonna give THAT crap reason... u could at least made it a litlle less predictable! I liked the Aya and Ueno's ones.... The one starring Horikita Maki is ok... and i hated the Yu's one.... (as for my rate... i would give an 8/10 for the first and the last ones... 7 for the second and 3 for the third.. divided by 4... Seven out of ten). As for the dorama... the casting is pretty good (even the support actors r r amazing actors), the stories r pretty well made (except by the third one). Honestly i dont like those kind of shows (short stories... lack of character development) but this one is really good... worth watching!!!! |

Honestly "Ushi ni Negai wo" is quite funny. And the plot is not thaaaat bad (altough a little "cliche")
The major problem is the uncontable things that goes by without a explanation! SPECIALY the fact that one student keep appearing and dissapearing in a randomly way!!! And.. OMFG.. that love-square is REALLY annoying!

This dorama is.... hummm.. intriguing! A very different concept from every other dorama I've ever watched. At first i tough i wouldnt like this dorama at all.. i was just downloading cuz my gf is a big Leader's fan (i still prefer nino!). And much for my surprise "Uta no Onii~san" was a great dorama. The first and the second episode were a little off compare to the rest of the show.... but as the show goes on it starts to get better and better! The ending is kind of BLE! they could have manage something better... still... this dorama is pretty good one. Worth a try if u r really looking for something different (Ohno really puts up a good show.... almost as good as nino! LOLz!) Nways... its a lovely dorama... Nino and Sho r great actors, specially nino... but i must agree with those who say that he didnt fit Tarou's character really well.... But still he's a good actor and beside that problem he managed to play his char really well....
The relationship betwen those 3 main characters kind of remind me of Wakaba mo Koro (thnx GOD they didnt use a love-triangle situation!!!)

One of the funniest doramas i've seen. Absolutely hilarious!!! Even the CMs in the end of the episodes were extremily funny (cuz of that AD..... damn... that guy was funny!). An amazing cast that really puts a good show on your TV. The plot is somewhat plain but since its a comedy dorama it doesn't really bothered me at all.
