Boku no Ikiru Michi [僕の生きる道] WOW..what can I say. It is a must see. I cried - not because it was sad, but it was so beautiful . Inspirational to the MAX.
Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi [僕と彼女と彼女の生きる道] Another must see that stars Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (the other is Boku no Ikiru Michi) ..wonderful story about family/choices/work...really makes you think about what is really important in one's life.
Ningen no Shoumei [人間の証明] Top notch, great drama...the story has a lot of heart..not your typical police-detective story investigating a murder crime. Great story line. Story takes place in Odaiba area in Tokyo and in Mississipi in the US...I was taken back by how good Takenouchi's english is... although, I didn't really care for him before, now I am a fan. Cried at the end.
OL Zenidou [OL銭道] FUN, FUN, FUN! A great comedy about saving money...the character, Kikugawa Rei plays shows that saving money is the coolest thing and also gets the guy, too. I've actually followed her tips, and learned to save too. Never knew saving money could be so cool until I watched this... a great, original comedy...highly recommend!!!!!!
Suna No Utsuwa [砂の器] Dark, drama...beautiful scenery and music. Great cast, story, and acting.

Kikukawa Rei [菊川怜] Beautiful, sweet and funny in OL Zenidou, which also was her first starring role. Hope to see her in more major roles to come in jdoramas : )
Koyuki [小雪] An elegant, good actress... I became a fan after seeing her in Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi
僕と彼女と彼女の生きる道... and ofcourse Last Samurai. I was surprised on how funny she could be, too..very comical in Kimi wa petto..
Kusanagi Tsuyoshi [草なぎ剛] He is a member of SMAP... a pop group..and also an under-rated..excellent actor.
Osugi Ren [大杉漣] One of my favorite charater actors. In fact I choose my J-doramas when he is in it... I have never been disappointed in any drama when he is in it!
Takenouchi Yutaka [竹野内豊] Great actor. His perfomance was extremely good in Ningen no Shoumei. I am now a fan!

Koi wa Tatakai [恋は戦い！] LUV'D it!!!! [Rating: 10/10] I loved everything about this show.. the characters, the story, the music... luved it, luved it, luved it. I even bought the soundtrack, which I play it often...it really gets me going. I was surprised to learn that in Japan it was played up to be "sort of Japanese version" of Sex and the City..because it's 120% better than that stupid American show. The stories and characters don't even compare. A must see for the modern gal.
Ningen no Shoumei [人間の証明] Top Notch! [Rating: 10/10] A must see! Good plot, acting, directing. Great ending. Takenouchi's English was a surprise...just flawless.
Suna No Utsuwa [砂の器] BETTER THAN THE CLASSIC BOOK or the old movie!!!! [Rating: 10/10] Beautiful music,cinematography,well-written screenplay, and casting - it will move you - it was much better than the original Matsumoto Seicho book it is based on - a MUST SEE!!!!!!!!
